Title: Grace notes
Post by: Fred Nachbaur on 1998-08-16 04:00 AM
When using grace notes, it doesn't seem to matter what time duration is chosen as far as playback is concerned.

Is there a way of changing the duration of the grace note during staff play?

At the moment no. I hope that Eric will fix this in a future release, tho'.

Actually, I just thought of something. You could alter the tempo tempo-rarily.

Right! Good idea. Now I'll have to brush up on my college algebra to figure out how much to modify the tempo for the next beat to compensate...

:-)
Hope you do not have other small notes on other staves there, or it will turn to nightmare!

Hoo. That's getting too scary. I think I'll go back to my old method of having two sets of scores - one set that looks good and is muted, and the other that sounds good (but looks ugly) and is hidden.
