Title: Stopping the note sounding when placing it on the staff
Post by: debodun on 2009-04-07 11:06 PM
I've noticed in Noteworthy 2, when I enter a note on the staff, it plays briefly (piano sound) which I find distracting. Is there a way to turn that feature off and still be able to hear the playback?

Sure. Go to the tools menu, choose options, click on the MIDI tab, and uncheck the "Play notes on entry" checkbox.

Hope this helps.....

It's a good thing to have this option. When I enter notes, I love to have it on. It allows me to copy notes from a score without looking at the screen or keyboard. The sound tells me if I have entered the right note.
But hey, it can be turned off...

Some music composition apps sound any time the note is moved on the staff, not just when initially placed. IMHO that would be a useful thing for NWC to have.
