I loved this Sid Caesar/Nanette Fabray skit so much I thought I'd bring it to the attention of other musicians. However, I don't think it should remain on the forum more than a day or two since it really has nothing to do with NWC.

Thank you David. This is delicious.

Thanks, Bill.
Wonderful, thanks - I have copied the link to show some choral friends.

Must have been the hair of the dog that bit her. (Wow, a hair with teeth!)
srsly, I will send the link on to a few friends. Er, make that a score.
Does anyone know when this clip was first recorded? I believe that the couple are Sid Caesar and Nanette Fabray and that it comes from Caeser's Half Hour, around 1954.
Tony
The Beethoven sketch was recorded from a live broadcast (those were the days!), on December 27, 1954. Here's a reference:

Hey, Maurizio -
OK, OK. The memory isn't as bad as it might be. But I didn't remember the date of the Sid Caesar show - I looked it up. One thing I haven't forgotten is how to do reference work. I was a reference librarian for 18 years, and it stuck. Retired now for six years and loving every minute of it. But the skills are still there.
Cheers,
Bill
Anyway, Bill, I'm really envious!
I can barely remember if today I had lunch or not... ;-)
