Hello from France (Normandy) to all
I thought I was an experimented user of NWC up to now. I am a choir director. Some of the choir members have the NWC viewer. I send them files so they can learnn the tunes.
Recently, one of them meets the following problem : the file names registered in the Viewer appear in black (instead of blue for the ones before), and when double clicked, this message appears :"File uses new format". I checked on his computer and the Viewer is the NWC2 viewer. Of course, I use NWC2 to edit the files.
Could someone give me some hints as to where lies the problem ?
I would be very very grateful.
Looking forward
I think they just need to download the latest version of the NoteWorthy Viewer from the NoteWorthy Site.
Welcome to the forum.
The Viewer is
an NWC2 viewer. There were many:

NWC2 went through many years of private development. Viewers were made publicly available throughout the process.
As Richard said, your choir members need to have the latest (non-test) version.
It can be downloaded from NoteWorthy's Home Page (http://www.noteworthysoftware.com/)
