Title: lyrics - using different formats
Post by: mcnash on 2008-12-24 02:51 PM
Is there a way of applying different formats to different lyric lines? With more than about 3 lines, a score can be confusing to follow - it'd be much easier if alternate lines could be italic or bold.
If anyone's found a way of doing this, I'd be thrilled :)

Hi Mcnash

First go to "page setup" then click "fonts", then select "staff lyrics". After that, click "change' then you have access to all others fonts.

But having different formats for different lyric lines, I'm not to sure about that. To be honest, I've not really seen a score with different fonts and formats you were talking about.

Kris

BTW, leave this to the experts.

I think mcnash (https://forum.noteworthycomposer.com/?action=profile;u=3625) is referring to something like this, where the German lyrics are italic and the English is roman.

There is a font in the Scriptorium <here> (http://nwc-scriptorium.org/helpful.html#Fonts). Scroll down until you find this:

Timeital font - This is a TrueType font supplied by Stan Takis that allows you to use both regular and italic letters in the lyric tool of Noteworthy Composer.

OH YES! Those fonts, never thought about them.

Thanks Rick.
