I have a new Microsoft Ergonomic 4000 v1.0 keyboard. The F5 & F6 keys no longer work as play and stop funtion keys in NWC. Can anyone advise me has to how to reset these function keys to work as they did on previous keyboards.
I admit to knowing very little about this subject, but do other keys function in the "normal" NWC manner? With other programs there have been problems because of differences between, for examplem UK and USA keyboard layouts.

A lot of the newer keyboards have a "Function lock" key - the function keys serve dual roles. If the function lock is off, they aren't function keys but rather things like "Home" and "email" etc.

Lawrie you are indeed a virtuoso. That was the problem I hit the F Lock key and everything is now right with the world. Don't know why I didn't see that but sometimes the solution is hidden right in plain sight. Thanks Mate!
