Title: Choir Music
Post by: jessejames on 2008-04-23 09:24 PM
I have a problem that I hoped would have been fixed on Noteworthy Composer 2

Sometimes a lower voice is required to sing a note higher than a  higher voice. For example in the bass clef the bass voice (note stem down) may be required to sing a not higher than the tenor (note stem up) on the same beat. Noteworthy will not let me do this.
Is there some way that I can?
Or will it be changed to allow this?

For both versions, put all the Tenor notes on a staff and all the bass notes on another staff, then layer them. Where the tenor note is lower, set 'Extra Note Spacing' to 1.

It would look better if you could set 'Extra Note Spacing' to 0.5, but that is not possible.

It is always interesting to see how you combine an excellent answer (well, this one was easy) with the voicing of a wish, or even a complaint.
I haste to add that I agree with the wish.

I think I agree with the wish, too.  The score would be easier to read with horizontal positioning overlapping by about half the width of a notehead.
