Title: ALL NEW TO ME
Post by: sleepytortoise on 2007-12-12 09:20 PM
Had noteworthy a while but only used it now and then.  Im not a composer.  I want to write just one staff of notes or two for simple learning tunes for you ones. And Scales.
1. how to make each staff indipendant of the other " not to  line up with bar lines, or follow note size.
2. how to make a space between staff's larger withoug having to print an ampty staff.
3. one of my rows of music, when I press play, plays squeeks, cymbles, and bells????  non of the other rows (staff) do?   What have I done wrong on this line or shat have I pressed???

I know this programme is for multy instruments but I would like to use it for simple things.

sleepytortoise,

1. I'm not quite sure I know what you mean.... first of all, the program is not WYSIWYG (just a common problem on these forums... possibly that will help if you didn't know that already)
2. That is achieved by going into staff properties - right click on the staff it's the last option in the context menu. Then go to the visual tab and increase the "vertical size"
3. This is because that staff is using MIDI channel ten. To change it, go to staff properties > Midi tab and change the channel to something apart from ten.

I hope that helps,

<edit> the post has been moved from the original topic so there's no longer any need for certain parts of this post (which have been remeoved)

Point 1: You want to put two songs in a songfile. The short answer is: You cannot.

Clearly, you want to print two songs on one sheet of paper. In order to do that, you will have to enter both songs separately. When done, copy song 1 to the clipboard and paste in Word, Paint or another program that can process graphics. Then copy song 2 to the clipboard and paste there result.
