Title: Length and spacing of measures
Post by: Len on 2007-02-06 08:34 PM
Hi, As a newcomer to NWC I am interested in finding the answer to two problems.

[1] A piece of music I have written has the last staff finishing short of the edge of the page, and is not 'in line' with the edge of the previous staves. The sample 'jingle bells' is a superb example of this. Is there a quick way to adjust the overall length of the last staff to be a neat finish.

[2] This piece of music has an intro, a 3 verses and a chorus. Only the staves for the verses needs to be deep enough for 3 lines of lyrics. Is there a way of keeping the other staves a 'standard' width, whilst widening the depth of the 'verse' staves only?

Thanks
Len

1  Just add an extra bar line at the end, and make its property "Force System Break."

2  No, unless you do some processing using other software.
