Folks,
I have to do some transposing for a British Brass Band that I play in. I have to transpose a Bb Euphonium part in G Clef in the key of F, to a Bass Clef part in the key of Eb.
For practice, I've entered a few measures in G Clef, copied them to a new staff in Bass Clef and dropped them down 2 semitones.
My problem, is accidentals. They are not being changed in the new clef and key.
Is there a way to do this automatically?

- Make sure your treble (G) clef has a key signature (here it's F major, but even if it's only C major, make sure it's there).
- Highlight the entire treble clef part, and copy it to a new staff.
- Highlight the now-pasted contents of the new staff, and press shift & up arrow 12 times.
- Add a bass clef at the beginning of the new staff and remove the treble clef - you'll see the key signature stays the same but changes position.
- Compare the key signature and a few notes on one staff to the other. They should be the same notes, just in different clefs. If they're not, highlight and move all the notes in the bass clef staff up or down until they're right.
- Now, transpose using Tools/Transpose/-2 with Update staff playback.
Presto! you're done. (It takes maybe 5 seconds in total, far less time than writing instructions!)
Compare the two key signatures. You should be in F major in the bass clef. Eyeball the rest of these staffs, and play them back to see if they play in unison. If not, you've made an error.
