Title: midi playback
Post by: shigglebiddy11 on 2007-01-04 03:51 AM
after adjusting stero pans of the staves on some of my large scale orchestral works, the percussion staff does not play back as it should. i didnt adjust stero pans on the percussion staff. i left it in midi channel 10 and on stero pan 64. has anyone else had a problem with this? i was hoping tina billett could give me some response.

I would recommend that you look over the Score Review list. Make sure that you do not have any unwanted channel 10 overlap assignments. The Pan value is also shown for each staff.

and what if i dont have any overlapping channel ten assignments? would multi staves on the same stero pan have anything to do with it?

If you have multiple staves assigned to channel 10, you should only assign stereo pan to one of them. The rest of them should be set to -1. The same is true for volume.
