Title: midi output
Post by: gilgameshdg on 2006-07-31 07:18 pm
I'm trying to test a MIDI synthesizer chip using an evaluation board it came with. I need to somehow get the raw MIDI from the computer to the board. Is there anyway to have noteworthy recognize a MIDI output from one of the com ports? Or any port for that matter?

Your game (joystick) port should be recognized by Noteworthy.  Mine shows up as:
SB16 MIDI Out (300)

Soundblaster cards used to come with 15pin to 2x5 pin DIN cables.  You may be able to get one cheap from eBay.
Or, build one yourself:
