Title: Midi Keyboard Input Help
Post by: Korey on 2006-06-02 11:45 PM

Ok, I have got a registered, updated version of Noteworthy. I have a question about my MIDI keyboard imput.

I just purchased that MIDI IN/OUT - USB adaptor and plugged it in. I can insert notes from my keyboard fine, the pitch is correct, and everything is great. But,how do i make it rythmic(sp?) to what i play on my keyboard? Everything I play, no matter how long I hold the key, is inserted as a quarter note.

I am really new to this MIDI stuff, so sorry if this is stupid question. Heres some stuff below if that will help.

KEYBOARD INFO
WK-3200 Casio

MIDI Connection Cable
MIDISportUNO

Thanks for the help,
Korey

G'day Korey,
for this you need a "click track".

Check these FAQ's:

faq #52 (http://www.noteworthysoftware.com/composer/faq/52.htm): How do I set up to use a MIDI keyboard with NWC?

faq #53 (http://www.noteworthysoftware.com/composer/faq/53.htm): How do I record live play from my MIDI keyboard?

faq #54 (http://www.noteworthysoftware.com/composer/faq/54.htm): How do I casually enter notes from my MIDI keyboard (step time)?

There are LOTS more - use the search function from the main page of this forum (search appears to be context sensitive)...
