Title: Importing MIDI-files
Post by: cleric on 2006-04-23 03:27 PM
Hi.I wonder if any of you have worked out some method to get an acceptable view when doing a MIDI-import. I often find myself in a position where I only need four or five tracks imported, say if you're working with choirs. Most of my MIDI-imports to Noteworthy end up as 18 tracks with two rythm tracks, several different tracks for each voice, a variety of clefs and tempo tracks. Is there some easy way to limit the import, yet retain accuracy?

You may get some improvements by tweaking the settings in Step 2 of the Import wizard.  Turn off Map each MIDI channel to a new staff, OR adjust you maximum single track chord size.

In Step 3, if you know what's in each track, you can delete the tracks you don't want.
