Title: Notes on top of rests
Post by: David Matie on 2006-01-06 03:01 AM
I need some help.  I see in the Samples how you can have a split part in let's say the bass line.  When the top of the Bass line would rest but the bottom would play.  I can't seem to figure this out.  Could some one out there help me.

Search for Chord Member in the help menu (press F1 while in the program).

OK.  How about a eighth note ontop of a quarter rest?  Is it even possible?  It says the note must be longer than the rest.  Is it possible to do with nwc 1.75b or nwc2?

Try it and see.  However I don't think it's doable.  Use layered staffs as a workaround.  The note on one staff, the rest on the other.  Move the rest up or down to accommodate the position of the note.
