can you put a midi on to nwc if it was not made on this program if so how?

Yes you can just use load from the File menue and alter the drop down menue from nwc to midi or song files
This wil pring up a Wizard for how you want the midi to be handled

Keep in mind that MIDI contains different information than does sheet music. If you write music in program A, export MIDI, then import it to program B, the appearance of the notes may not always be the same. That is not the fault of the programs. But the general information, note pitches and approximate timings, will be OK. The kind of public MIDI files that you find circulating on the Internet usually import very well.

If you are looking for a "step by step" here is a brief one:
- Open NWC
- Click | File | Open
- In the bottom field ("Files of type:" list box) of the "Open dialogue" select either "Song Files" OR "Midi Files"
- Browse to the location of your midi, select and open it
- Click the "Next" button
- Click the "Next" button again - we can accept the defaults for now.
- Click the "Next" button yet again - we can accept these defaults for now too.
- And click "Next" again...
- At last we can click "Finish"
What we end up with is an imported midi that may or may not need "tweaking". Most likely it will need some work to make it "user friendly" - actually, the better the midi sounds, the more likely the import will be very complex.
Another point you should know - when you play back the song in NWC it will
NOT sound as good as the original midi. There is a lot of subtle information lost during the import, particularly dynamics, pitch bends etc.. Basically anything that needs to use an MPC in NWC will not import, nor will dynamic variances.
