Title: Sordino in horns
Post by: Omar on 2005-08-01 08:16 PM
While transcribing ''Spring & Autumn'' of Snowstorm, from G. Sviridov, I found in the horns the message ''con sordino''. I know that it's like in the trumpet, but how does it sound?
How can I get that effect in NWC?

If you have a sound card which lets you import sound fonts you can add the sound of a muted horn.

I do not have a special sond card, when I added this question I meant if I could use an effect with a MPC such like chorus, xpression, etc., or mixing 2 staves with different instrument patch...

Okay, say I do have a sound card which lets me import sound fonts and I add the sound of a muted horn.
If I send the MIDI file (or even the .nwc if they have it) to someone else's computer, are they gonna hear muted horn?
Not unless they have the same sound font.
What's the point?

What's the point?
Umm, personal satisfaction? Creating .WAVs or MP3s that sound how you want 'em?
