Title: Playback of repeats
Post by: Ed Tarento on 2005-03-19 05:46 AM
MY SATB quartet often has to listen through the first and subsequent repeats when what we really want to hear are the last few bars of the last repeat et al.

Is there a way to hit the Play button and at the same direct NWC[2] to play a specific (or even last) repeat?

No,unfortunately.  It's been discussed before.  Recommend you make a request on the Wish List.

If the last repeat appears by itself, then this is easy to do. Simply set your play back to start at or near the insertion point. This setting is in Tools, Options, Midi, Play; select one of the from
  • measure back[/b] or from current measure.

Thanks you, I think the "play from X bars back from insertion point will do the trick".  I might add that mostly we want to play from the insertion pont and it would only be when we are practicing the exit from a repeat that we'd need this feature.  I would help if we had a hot key sequence or at least a button on a tool bar - thanks
