Does anybody know of a good free program for cleaning clicks and scratches off recordings?

I really like the Diamond Cut products.  I use DC6, which is expensive ($199, but I've upgraded over the years); however, you can still get DC Millennium for $59.  It's not an entry level product, just an older version, which used to be their flagship product a couple of years ago (until DC5 came along).  I've used it to clean up a lot of my old records before converting to DC.  It has a lot of filters to do that.

Check out:

for more information and ordering.  There is a demo available.  Also, for some information about the history of the program, check out:

There are others; however, I have been happy with this  product for many years.  Good luck.

Have you tried the wave editor that comes with Nero burning software. It has the ability to clean up tracks.
