Title: Cannot delete
Post by: Sven Bring on 2005-03-14 10:16 AM
I have one text entry which I cannot delete. It seems impossible to capture
the "anchor" of this entry, and whatever I do I delete something else
instead. I have no problems deleting entries of this kind otherwise. Any
ideas?

It seems to be a pointing problem.
Advice no. 1: Use the keyboard, not the mouse. Now, use CursorLeft and CursorRight judiciously, until you're just in front of the anchor sign. Now press Shift-CursorRight.

Advice no. 2: Insert notes around the anchor, e.g. eights, until you can see the anchor embedded in these temporary notes. Now highlight the whole bunch, and press Delete...

Let me know! Rob.

Neither tip helps, I'm sorry to say.

I got the solution: this entry belonged to the part above in the score, although it was placed under the actual one.

Are you trying to delete something thats from another layer?

It is possible to add items into a staff that are beyond the upper/lower boundaries of a staff. This can be deceiving. If you are using the default color schemes, you can tell which staff owns an item by its active color. Once you have the containing staff active in the editor, you can add, edit, and delete items in this staff.

I've had this problem in the past and the cure for me was to click the Zoom In button until I could see which anchor was the correct on to delete.
