The keyboard shortcuts are acting flaky. Sometimes they work, and other times they don't. At this time, I am finding the numeric keyboard will change note duration, but won't change the sharp/flat/natural. The other day, I couldn't get the duration to work.
I have updated to the NWC2 by purchasing the update 1.75b CD and installed the NWC2 1h beta version. I'm running WidowsXP
Any way of fixing this? Do I need to reinstall the program?
Closed down and restarted and they're working again. Is this a problem with NWC2? or WindowsXP? As both are new to me, and I didn't have this problem with Win98 and NWC1.75 I don't know where the problem lies. Anyone else have similar problem?
I suspect it's your Windows version. I run version 2 of NWC on Windows 98 and have never had a problem with the keyboard cutting out.
Accidentally hitting the Num Lock key will cause some flakiness - or at least it does on my system. Win 98SE NWC2

Thanks to those who offered suggestions.
Tina, Do the shortcuts remain flaky even if you hit the Num Lock key again? As that was my first suspicion, that I had hit the Num lock key button by accident, but they were still locked. Today all is working fine. I deliberately pressed the Num Lock key to see if it would cause the problem. It, naturally, reverted the number keys to the home, pgup etc, but locking them again restored the shortcuts. So I'm more suspicious it might be WinXP not working the way it should. Guess I'll just have to close and restart when it happens. Better than the old paper and pen days, anyway.
Some keyboards, or some combinations of computers and keyboards, sometimes invert the NumLock-status. Meaning: the light is on, but NumLock is off. And vice versa. After a reboot, everrrrything is underrr contrrrol (captain Kirk).
It may even be a certain program that causes the NumLock status to flip, without the LED changing to green.

Not that I've noticed. I'm using a w98 keyboard. It may be as Rob suggests. Other things causing the problem for you.

Are all the keyboard connections properly plugged in?
One other idea: Sometimes the rules that NWC(2) uses in allowing some selection changes can be confusing. If a particular shortcut is not working, check your selection carefully to make sure that you have not selected anything extra that might cause the command to fail.
