Title: Subtle visual change in the forum
Post by: Michael W. Powell on 2005-01-21 04:40 PM
Eric,

Nice touch with the blue coloring (shading) of the bar separating messages in the forum.  I think it is a nice contrast and really sets apart each message making them more easily identifiable.

Yes, subtle but enjoyable! Good one.

What would be really cool is if we could choose our own colors like at some other sites...

Subtle?
It's like a slap in the eyeballs!
How could you not notice?
I suppose you thought the font change a few weeks ago was subtle also.

Some focus more on content than appearance.

I didn't detect the change at all, since I override font changes by site owners to always show one font only.

I've gotten tired of self-appointed "web designers" thinking that they know something you don't. Most of them are usually full of, well, you-know-what. Only when it is absolutely necessary, I let a site decide which font to use.

Some focus more on content than appearance.
That may be (as I am more concerned with the content myself), but I take issue with the use of the word "subtle."
I noticed these things immediately, and I am losing sight in my left eye.  I imagine that "normal-sighted" people can't possibly miss the changes.

Seems like more appearance changes. Subtle for me!
