Title: Da Capo with key change
Post by: Mike Coldewey on 2005-01-18 02:44 AM
I'm working on a piece in which the first section is in a minor. The second section is in A Major, and then I'm using the Da Capo al Fine to go back to the top and end at the end of the a minor section. When I do this, the printout is fine, but on playback, the A Major key signature continues the second time through the beginning section. Is there a way to "negate" the key change and force it back to a minor just before the Da Capo? It may be tricky because a minor has no key signature.

Add a C Major / A minor key signature to the first section.
Yeh - I know it doesn't have a key signature but NoteWorthy will place a natural on F (which won't print) but will set the accidentals correctly.

BTW: If you ever tranpose a tune from C or Am make sure that you add the C/Am key signature first or funny things willl happen!
