Title: How do you get the Percussion features to work?

I followed the instructions that this site has about making percussion sounds, about making the properties selected over None, making it a single line, and all that jazz, but when played, it still comes out as a piano. Can anyone walk me through it step by step so I can spot my mistake?

Go to the staff that you want.
Press F2 for staff properties.
In the Midi-tab, choose Channel 10. Now, enter a few different notes and play them. Should work!
