Title: Moving staves around..?
Post by: Fozzer on 2004-12-09 10:16 PM
Hello all,

I have entered the Treble and Bass staves, and composed the piano, left-hand/right-hand, music.
Now, as an after-thought, I have decided to include another treble staff for a guitar accompaniment, (maybe with lyrics?)...
So...
How do I move all the existing staves "downwards" to make space to enter a "new" treble staff "above" the existing top one...?
(Normally, a new staff can only be added "below" the last staff)...!

I've looked through the FAQ "Help" file, and I cant find an answer to this one...!

(...also...how would you make space for an "alto" staff in between the treble and bass staves after the composition has been completed..)...?

Many thanks for any tips...!

Cheers all...

I came here late (with v. 1.75b) - but if this is your version as well - you add the new staff, keep it highlighted, then go to Staff > Move Staff Up.

For the new staff within a system, it looks as though you just add the new staff at the end, keep it highlighted, and Move Staff Up until it's seated where you want.

You can also use Ctrl+Shift+PgUp and Ctrl+Shift+PgDn.
See them fly around!
cheers, Rob.

Fozzer, now you have the latest CD, I strongly suggest you get the public preview of version 2.  It won't cost you any more, and you'll find it even better than version 1.75.

Many thanks, David P.

Installed the upgrade, (Version 2), after a bit of confusion with the Invoice number: The number on the CD started with a "zero", (6 digits),this was not accepted until I removed the zero to represent the actual invoice number in my confirmation e-mail at the time of ordering, (5 digits)!
...all sorted now...!

Many thanks all...!
