Title: Change keys mapping on computer keyboard
Post by: Olivier Miakinen on 1998-04-14 04:00 AM
In thread 554, Judy Rutherford asked for the possibility
to change the key for entering bar lines, because the
Tab key was on the far left side on the keyboard.

I personally would like to change the keys for accidentals
because the actual order (natural-flat-sharp) seems to me
a bad choice. I would prefer flat-natural-sharp.

But maybe the best thing would be to have a completely
customisable keyboard. Is this possible ? In brief, what
should I add to the wish list:
- change the order of accidentals ?
- or have a customisable keyboard ?

In the 10 Key area of your keyboard, there is a "Star Key" above the 9. It works on my keyboard, it should work on yours to enter bar lines. I should note that it enters only a single barline and if one different needs to be there, then after entering it, marking it and changing the selection.
