Title: Microtonal notation
Post by: earthmonkey on 2004-11-18 09:51 PM
Is there any way of notating (if not sounding) microtones in NWC?  So far, I've had to resort to inserted text like 1/4 # or 3/5 b (flat).

You can sound them using the pitch bend MPC.  I don't know standard notation for this however if there is a symbol that's standard, you could use a custom font. :)

Hello earthmonkey,

I made a font called "Accidentals" (still WIP) that includes almost all accidental marks used in microtonal notation. If you drop me an email (see my profile), I'll send you a copy of the latest beta.

It works great in notating arbitrary accidentals (with the help of the extra accidental spacing feature) but using pseudo-key signatures is still a pain in the fingers. :(
