Title: Distance between staves
Post by: Jan Paulus on 2004-10-07 04:41 PM
Is there a way to influence the distance between staves?
Without altering the Staff Size?

Well, on each staff right click on the mouse, pick staff properties, visual, and change the upper and lower vertical size. The larger the number the more space you will have. I recommend that all staffs have the same space between so the score will not look wired!

Thank you! I forgot this functionality.

But I ment something else. For my choire I make sheets. On a pair of staves I fill in the notes for the four voices.
Than I print the musicsheet, but there is on the paper too much distance between the two pairs of Staves. I want to shorten that distance. Is it possible?

This can be accomplished with the very same Vertical Size settings. Decrease the upper vertical size of the top staff and the lower vertical size of the bottom staff.

Thank you very much!
I was glad to make my problem clear. For a person who uses to speak and write in Dutch no so easy!

Speak for yourself...
I'm about as Dutch as they come, and do not feel quite the same about the language 'problem'.
Ah well, as long as we enjoy music, and the process of creating it.

Don't forget to change the offsets of the lyrics (if you have any) after you change staff sizes!
