Title: How to unmerge or unlayer staffs.
Post by: Kevin on 2004-09-16 07:55 PM
OK I want to make sure I put this in a way everyone understands this. I downloaded a MIDI off the internet and opened it with NWC to work with. Now lets say I am looking at the Clarinet part. Its haves one staff but many note options to play. Basically having merged a 1st, 2nd & 3rd Clarinet part into one staff. My question is that I want to seperate these into their own staffs instead of having to rewrite it with the other notes for easier viewing and reading. I hope you guys understand what I am saying. If anyone at all has any idea how to do this please let me know and e-mail me at cabankevin@sbcglobal.net. Thank you so much.

There's a chordsplitter program available in the Scriptorium.  I haven't tried it, but it should work.
