I know I've asked this before, but I can't find the answer.
How do I set the default directory for "open" in NWC 2 Player?
Cyril
The viewer does not have any built-in facility for specifying a default directory.
At one time, several years ago, you gave me instructions for either adding to/modifying the .ini file, or some manipulation of the registry which caused the NWC 1 Player to open in the directory where I save all my .nwc files. As this is on my E drive, and several layers down in the directory tree, and as the NWC 2 Player currently always opens well down in the directory tree on my C drive, it is rather a chore to open anything which I want to listen to.
Would it be untoward to request that whatever worked (which, as I said I have totally forgotten) on the version 1 player be added to version 2?
Cyril
After I open something (and even when I close the program and shut down my system), the player opens in the same directory each subsequent time, unless I go somewhere else. Doesn't this happen for you?
No, it always opens in "NoteWorthy Composer 2 Viewer", in "Program Files".
Well, that's odd that it works for me and not for you.
Did you forget to leave cookies and milk out for Santa last year? ;-P
Cyril N. Alberga, are you using Win95/98?
Win95/98 does not save the ComDlg32 MRU's, WinME and above saves it
Yes, Win98SE. But other programs, e.g. IrfanView, remember where they were last.
