Title: Saving in other format, not only MIDI
Post by: Timothy on 2004-08-04 12:50 PM
Since MIDI cannot keep repeats, codas and other things that the music sheet has, can Noteworthy Composer also save to some common standard format like Music XML ?

I've just put a comment on the main forum regarding MusicXML. No support currently, but I think the clipboard format, and the fact that version 2 can import it as well as export, will make translation much easier. I'd like to have a go at it, but I've got too many other things on my plate at the moment.

I notice that NWC does indeed export repeats and other stuff:

Note groups with repeats are repeated anyway (audibly, but not visually when you open it again)

Stacatto notes are converted like so:
Stacatto quarter note > Eigth rest, eigth note

NWC compensates for that stuff
