Title: Stem Length and Refrain Staff spacing
Post by: Lionel Modra on 2004-07-18 12:05 PM
While I am very happy with the way this program has developed (since 1.33) I also would like to see the ability to modify just one of the stem lengths in chords with two notes at the same pitch with opposite stem directions, as mentioned by David Overlin in the initial message in NWC2 forum thread 16. Layering is a workaround to get the appearance desired.
As most of my use is to transcribe hymns the ability to have different vertical size for the refrain (or chorus) system(s) also would be appreciated. I have no idea how difficult this would be to implement, but something like a section break in MS Word is what comes to mind.

Completely off-topic question: Are you posting your work online?

Not usually. I did post "The Holy City" quite some time ago, but it was not optimised for printing. It also included some errors!

Hi Lionel,
Is this "The Holy City" the one that has, "Jerusalem,
Jerusalem, lift up your voice and sing, 'Hosanna in the
Highest!'"? If yes, have you come up with a corrected
version? I'd be interested. Thank you very much.
(btw, did i get the lyrics right?)
