Title: Will it accept Chinese text input?
Post by: Ying-Da Lee on 2004-07-06 02:29 AM
It would surely be nice if version 2 will accept non-Western language text. I understand that, at least on XP with the appropriate language modules/services already installed, it shouldn't be an arduous task to accommodate them.

When NWC2 was in non-public beta test, that was discussed. It would require Unicode capability, which NWC2 still does not have. Apparently, it is more complicated than simply using the Windows Unicode interface... I don't know why.

You can always (NWC2 or NWC1) create metafiles of your pages (without lyrics), place them in a word processing document, and add the lyrics there. The lines of text would be placed in floating text boxes (easy to do).

For the record, Unicode support is among my top wishes.
