Under Page Setup-Contents Tab, select "Allow Layering."  Then, highlight the first of the two staves you want to merge/layer (they must be next to each other in the score) and use F2 to select Staff Properties...under that, select the "Visual" tab and click on "Layer with next staff."

Hi, Mat !

you have at least two ways that come to mind this instant :

1) use the LAYERRING system.
you get it through the "page-setup".
look it up.

2) after opening your MIDI -
arrange it such that both staffs would correspond to the same midi channel ( through staff-properties).
then save it again as midi file TYPE 0 (zero).
now - open it again.
and it alwways helps in the opening wizard to allow a higher range of notes default 18.

mybe there are other ways.
but that will take me some thinking ...

hopes it helps, and that I wasn't not spesific enough.

NWC 1.75a has an alternative way to enable layering rather than use the Page Setup menu.  Use the dropdown View menu instead, and click Allow Layering.

You must still set the staff properties using the F2 feature.
