Title: Key Accidentals
Post by: Ed Wylde on 2003-08-04 01:16 AM
I have imported a midi file into NWC.  The midi is in the key of Eb (ie. 3 flats) but the NWC score is showing the flats as sharps (eg. Eb is shown as a D# and Bb is shown as a A#).  Is there an easy way to change the score so that it reads correctly or do I have to physically delete all the sharp notes and re-enter them as flats?

Thanks,

Ed.

Under the "Tools" menu, first force accidentals.  Next add the correct key signature, then (Tools again) Audit Enharmonic spellings.  You may have to go back to add courtesy accidentals, but nothing as drastic as having to mess with every note with a sharp on it.  HTH
