Title: Recording enhancement desired
Post by: Chuck on 1998-01-28 05:00 AM
The instructions say I must have a song open in NWC in order to
record, and that recording will stop at the end of the last measure
of the notation that is opened. My question is WHY? When I
want to record a new song from my Yamaha into NWC, I don't
know how many measures it will take. Couldn't this be an
enhancement to NWC? Am I missing something here?

Using one of the Rhythm templates as a start, it is easy to create an underlying metronome pattern of your choice for use in recording. You do not really need to know how long your performance will be in the end. Simply set up your metronome pattern to be long enough to hold your performance. You can setup a local repeat that is fairly long, as shown in the provided Rhythm templates. Feel free to create your own and add them to the current templates.

If you add your own templates, you might want to consider setting up your own template folder. See the Tools, Options, Folders tab for details.
