Title: Glissando - mpc:vol
Post by: Steffen Appelquist on 2003-05-14 10:05 PM
Although it wasn't so difficult to understand the use of pitch bend in the file "gliss.nwc". To understand the use of {mpc:vol} in this file is much more difficult. I hope someone can reveal the logical principle. The very evening I have tried to make a glissando between two quarter notes - F up to D (a sixth). The pitch bend was no problem, but the volume - - - very despairing!
Kind regards

The volume mpc's simply fade the overlapping sounds in and out to eliminate the "attack" transient that would otherwise ruin the effect. ;-)
