Any time I check the page setup, for instance to see which user font is which, NWC shoots back to the beginning of the song. I'm working on a fairly long composition with about 17 staves, and this is pretty inconvenient.
I agree that this is an annoying trait of NWC; until, however, NWC sees fit to fix it, I have long since got into the habit of enabling "measure numbers" in my draft songs so that I can keep track of where I am at any given time. As long as you know which bar/measure you were at when you left the page, it is a relatively simple matter to return to it by using Ctrl+G and entering the bar number.
The same happens when turning on and off layering. As this is done frequently during an edit (to see the effect of those edits on the score appearance) it is very annoying! No doubt it will be fixed in due course :-)
