I'd like to transform my nwc scores in pdf files .
I 've got acrobat : I print in acrobat distiller , and it generates a .log file , not a pdf . I can't do anything with ti=his .log file ( file damaged ! ! !) there are no musical signs
I tried another software pdf machine , and it doesn't work too there are no musical signs , only letters ...
I surely have forgotten something ... what ?

Not quite sure what might be going on, but if you happen to be using Acrobat 5.0, try the following.
1. Go to the Distiller, settings, font locations, and make sure that the folder containing the nwc fonts is listed (typically C:\windows\fonts). Acrobat needs to know where to look for the fonts. (Also make sure that the noteworthy font is actually located in that directory! I think it'll be listed as a NWCV15 something or the other)
2. On same screen, make sure that the option to Ignore True type versions of Postscript fonts is not checked. Not sure, but that may have a bearing.
3. If that resolves the problem, you may want to go step further and "embed" the nwc fonts so others viewing your pdf web pages will see the pages correctly, even if they don't happen to have the nwc fonts in their computer. Go to distiller, choose settings, job options, fonts, and choose embed all fonts.
If those don't work may need to trouble shoot a bit more. Acrobat has a (funky) help index. Look under "fonts" for potential areas of consideration.

Try this way
1. Print to file extension .prn (you must install aa apple printer, you don't need to own one, just add one to your printers IMPORTANT check the "print to file" option when instaling it).
With the apple printer you will print to file not to paper.
2. Open the .prn file with ghostviewer and then convert it to pdf.
I do this myself.

Have you tried reading the *.log files using a text editor, such as Notepad? This will very probably give you some error information that might help solve the problem.
I use a different PDF writer called "5D PDF Creator"; if I try to use it to create a PDF file with the same filename and location as a file presently open in Acrobat Reader, the resulting file sharing error causes such a .log file to be written instead.

5D PDF CREATOR is now known as "JAWS".
There is a free copy this month on the cover CD of a UK computer magazine IIRC "PC Plus".
Man, that "JAWS" PDF CREATOR is outrageously priced. Where does a guy get a more affordable (or free) PDF writer?
