Title: Change member of a chord
Post by: Steffen Appelquist on 2003-02-28 10:25 AM
Is there any way to change the members in a chord WITHOUT deleting the member with Ctrl+Backspace. I just want to change one note from A# to A natural.
Kind regards

Not that I'm aware of. That's one for my wish-list - to be able to select (and therefore edit) single notes within a chord. Stick it in the wish list.

I can't see why that would be easier to use.  For example, suppose I position my cursor after a note in a chord and press a control key to highlight a single note, change a few of its attributes and press RETURN to accept the changes.  How would that be easier than removing the note and then replacing it with corrected attributes?

You could highlight the note and press "/" so you can tie it to a adjacent note (to the right) etc.

The sort of thing I had in mind was that you could just click on a note, and then hit "#" to convert it to a sharp, or whatever. A context-sensitive right-click menu would be even better.
