Thank you SO much for the new feature allowing beams across rests. Now all those French horn parts for marches in 6/8 time will be ever so much easier to read.
Is there some way I could send you a very short file of other beaming problems that I have encountered? Several can be overcome with careful use of layers, while others just wind up being frustrating.

Why don't you post your problem(s) on the news-group? You can connect to it from the NWC homepage. People there are very friendly and will look over what you post and comment. I've had many a problem solved that way. The NWC people monitor it as well, and sometimes come in with idea and solutions.
Cyril has the right idea. If it is a reasonably routine musical situation to be solved, there's a good change someone with similar musical efforts has solved it. But if it is something arcane, then NWC (or any particular user) might not understand it, and could get bogged down.
