Title: Grace notes
Post by: Peter Crossley on 1997-12-14 05:00 AM
I noted an exchange recently in which NWC remarked that release 1.5 would implement grace notes which stole time from the following note. In the case of trills they steal from the preceding note. Is this to be supported also?
Regards
Peter

In NWC, grace notes will always steal time from the note that follows. When more advanced constructs are needed, we recommend muting the viewable staff, then making a hidden staff in another partition that constructs the music in whatever way you need.

In percussion parts a grace note ALWAYS steals time from the note before. Flams and ruffs always steal from the note before.
