Title: connecting midi keyboard to my computer

hi
i just bought a midi cable and ive got a computer with reason music software on it and a midi compatible keyboard...but i have no idea how to connect it all up. im only really new to all of this so please simplify your answers if possible...i can get very confused very easily :)
but any help would be very much appreciated...thanks.

If your midi cable's anything like mine, it's got a small round end, and a large flat one.  The small plug goes into your keyboard (usually in "midi out", but some go in "midi in" so try both).  The large flat one plugs into your sound card.

Use your midi software to "record midi imput" and voilĂ .
