Title: Add voices in repeats?
Post by: EdPaul on 2002-11-26 01:06 AM
I need to set up a repeat section where, in each successive playing, an additional voice is added.  Will I just need to write these out without repeats?  Or is there a way to suppress playing of a part during specific playbacks of the section?
Thanks.

You can use the "trick" of having a single bar repeat for as many iterations as required to fill a complete "pass". If this doesn't make sense, have a look at Papageno's Aria from Act II (http://www.dogstar.dantimax.dk/magflute/nwc/20_papag.nwc). Look at what's happening in the glockenspiel staves.
