Title: Help with D.S al Fine
Post by: Vince Brennan on 2002-11-11 03:57 PM
songfile here (http://www.sosyourmom.com/helpmeee.html)

I've got a reel I want to transcribe.  It has an anacrucis which is dropped in the first repeat of the special endings (1st and 2nd) and a non-repeated b-part.  What I'm attempting is to put a Segno at the Barre after the anacrucis,  a Fine at the end of the 2nd ending and then the D.S. al Fine at the end of the B part.  The problem is that when the music hits the D.D. al Fine, it does flip back to the segno, but then ignores the special endings (and the Fine) and plays the B part.

If all that is confusing, imagine how I feel!  See the songfile for a graphic illustration of the rumpus!

Any help/advice appreciated.

Vince

Master repeats are not performed after a redirection. See the REPEAT*.nwc files in the product Samples.

You used a Local Repeat Open instead of a Master Repeat Open, and the 2nd ending should be a 2nd ending and a default ending.
