Title: Desperately needing brevis symbol
Post by: Marco Gallo on 2002-08-01 11:11 AM
Hi,
can anyone tell me if does exist a ttf font that has the brevis symbol? I really need it for many renaissance music scores. It seems incredible that brevis symbol does not come with standard NWCV15 font!
Thank you fon any suggestion

It's in Boxmarks and in Bach, I think. You can download both from the Scriptorium.

Hi,
unfortunately Bach font is not freeware.
Anyway, I have found it into nwslur font (zip file available from the NWC scriptorium, in case other people could be interested)

The nwslur font has a brevis symbol? I created the font, and don't happen to know what a brevis symbol is! When I put in everything that needed to be there, I had a little space left over, so I stuck in some symbols that looked useful. Lucky guess.

Yes, in your font the brevis symbol corresponds to the usual "&" character.
