Title: Selecting all Staff for change
Post by: Olushola on 2002-07-23 02:30 AM
Hi all,
I'm a new user and want to know how to select all staffs to apply a change. For example, how do I transpose all staffs by the same amount.

Each staff represents a different melody line.

Thank you

I don't think you can edit all staffs at once. Too bad; it would be useful for things like a "global transpose". One thing I can suggest from bitter experience: if you're going to start changing things around , save your work with a new file name first ("save as"). That way, if you get confused or mess up, you always have the untouched file with the old name to go back to. Also with transposing, notice that you have to toggle the "transpose playback?" feature.

You use the Tools | Transpose command on each staff individually if you want to transpose the visual score.

If you only want to transpose the audio, you can use Tools | Score Review to modify each staff's transpose property, but you still have to do it to one staff at a time.

That's really a pity. Could we wish for a global scenario?
