Title: sound fonts
Post by: Ryan F. on 2002-05-11 01:46 PM
Bear with me, I'm a complete newbie with soundfonts, but I desparetely want to learn how to add them.  Is there a help file in NWC, or can someone explain to me how to add them?

Thanks a lot

You can only use soundfonts with cards that support them, e.g. SBLive!, Audigy/Extigy. So assuming that you have such a sound card...

One thing you can do is use the "Search" facility on this forum, enter "sound fonts" and use the pulldown to select "subject line." Want more? Do the search again and this time use the pulldown to select "message text." Some of these threads may contain info useful to you as regards soundfonts and NWC.

Another (more fundamental) resource is the manual and/or CD help that should have come with your sound card. If you don't have hardcopy, there are online resources available at the Creative site (http://www.creative.com/).

Fred

As Fred said - You must have a Creative soundcard.
If you do - try this site http://listen.to/sblive
