Title: importing non NWS files ?
Post by: Alan Prime on 2002-04-13 05:14 PM
I am considering purchasing NoteworthyComposer. Does it include a facility enabling importation of non nsw files (e.g. a file of sheet music) and allow conversion to an nsm file thus providing editing facilities etc of that file ??
Comments appreciated.

Noteworthy does not have a built in OCR for sheet music.

I have played around with several. SharpEye may be the best in terms of accuracy and ease of use (assuming a reasonably good copy of sheet music). Generally, though, it is almost easier to simply input by keyboard, guitar, or keystrokes.

Once the music is available in a midi format, NWC works like charm, and is probably one of the easiest notation editors I have used (have now been with it since approximately 1995 or 1996).
