Title: Repeats - Wish List
Post by: Norman Sams on 2002-03-13 05:00 AM
It's nice being able to put in a barline by simply clicking the TAB key on the keyboard, but I wish it were equally as easy to specify a barline with a repeat symbol, instead of having to highlight the bar, go to "properties", etc. Any thoughts?

You may use (on the drop-down menu)
Insert
Bar Line (Decorated)...
or press the “B” key.
From there, you have a choice of about 7 different types
of bar lines.

Having just read Artur's wish list, this one reminds me of another time-saving wish. How about inserting bar lines automatically, as you type.
Also, how about inserting large numbers of blank bars in a staff. Often, it's necessary to insert a staff that only has a few bars filled (for example, when accompaniments become too complicated to put on one staff, so layering becomes necessary). If you could pad a staff up to a given position, it would save a lot of time inserting rests, or cutting and pasting them.
